Sharnay achieved certification in the PROMPT technique in 2008.
PROMPT is a specialised and unique treatment method that is used to help children with verbal dyspraxia and a wide range of speech production disorders delays.

An initial speech and language assessment aims to gather information about the child’s current communication skills and your concerns as parent/carer.
Following the assessment, Sharnay is able to provide you with specific advice and recommendations, and a comprehensive assessment report is written. The assessment usually lasts for an hour to an hour and a half.
Speech and language therapy sessions are offered on a 1:1 basis. Sessions are individualised to suit the age and needs of your child, using fun and motivating activities and games.
Parent / caregiver / teacher involvement is also considered to be an integral component of the therapy process, and aims to provide specific strategies or activities to be implemented into the child’s home or school environment.
