Welcome to the very first Speech Prompt blog that will be regularly updated with exciting news, interesting articles and useful tips and advice.

Speech Prompt has been going from strength to strength over the past few months. I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with so many wonderful children and their parents. All the feedback I’ve received about the new therapy room has been very positive. Most importantly, the children seem very comfortable and at ease in the room, which has made for many joyful and fun sessions, with many goals achieved!

I was also invited to speak at various parent support group meetings in and around London. I so enjoy these opportunities, as it is such a privilege to meet so many special parents! If you run a parent support group and you’d like to learn more about PROMPT and the type of speech and language therapy I do, please feel free to get in touch. I’d love to hear from you. Talking and listening to parents of children with special needs enables me to learn many new things and look at things from a parent’s perspective. One of the things I take away from these meetings is a sense of how important it is for parents to get together and share their experiences, stories and concerns about their children, with each other. This is what inspired the Speech Prompt parent forum. It offers a safe and secure online environment for parents to get together, chat and even make some new friends. As a Speech Prompt parent you will be provided with a username and password shortly. I look forward to seeing you online soon!

I’m very excited to announce that I’ll shortly be attending a second PROMPT workshop. It’s all done online and live, so it’s as good as sitting in a lecture hall in America! I look forward to telling you all about it in the next blog!
