Sharnay qualified with an honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2002.
She is an experienced independent speech and language therapist, providing therapy for children of all ages. She has comprehensive experience in childhood speech and language development, gaining her experience from working in South Africa and England in the NHS and in private practice, providing speech and language therapy services in a variety of settings including community-based clinics, hospitals, pre-school, primary and special needs schools.
She has a special interest in Verbal Dyspraxia and achieved certification in a specialised treatment technique called PROMPT in 2008 (please see www.promptinstitute.com for more information).
Other certification and training achieved includes The Hanen Centre’s “It Takes Two to Talk” (see www.hanen.org). She also has specialist experience with children with autism.
